I want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes.  Jacquie and I spent the past few days visiting some friends in Southern California, before taking a leisurely trip up the California coastline. Once we were north of the hustle and bustle of L.A., the trip from Santa Barbara, all the way to Crescent City, CA was incredibly scenic and a nice ride.

The next few weeks will be busy ones as we finish up some household projects, prepare the wagon and trailer, and train the horses for Trip #5. I had some iron work done on the new trailer and will pick it up tomorrow.  I only need to fit the wood to it and do a little painting and it should be ready to go. The harness are currently at the Saddle Maker for some minor mending.  They also should be ready to pick up tomorrow. Doc is sporting a new set of shoes, but Bob and Bill are still barefoot.

The weather forecast for the next few days is good and I should get a lot done.
