10/28/09, Bentonville, IN - Everything continues to move towards a Trip - 3 departure during the second week of November.
Samuel Lantz, the carriage maker in the small Amish community near hear, did a great job enclosing in the front of the wagon. Actually, his wife did the sewing, so she did most of the work. The side doors open and close with Velcro. For really bad weather, I can zip down vision openings in the front and for the side mirror. During the summer months or on nice days, I can roll the canvass up and store it out of the way.
In the past few days, all three amigos got new shoes. Shoeing Bill was the biggest surprise - I can now work with his hind feet without getting kicked. I still move his foot pretty slow, but it’s a 100% improvement over what he was.
Not to be outdone, I broke out the scissors and gave Clementine a new hairdo and bath.
The book is at the printer and I should get it back next Wednesday or Thursday. At that time, I’ll be offering it for sale on the website.
I’ve still got a lot of work to do, so I better get with it!
