A Journey
When we are born, we cast off our lines and send our vessel steaming across the ocean of life. In good weather we sail through gentle waves with a steady breeze. In times of tempest, we pitch and roll, seeking shelter from a raging sea. When stuck in the doldrums, our canvas hangs slack and our vessel is motionless. Just when we think we are endlessly becalmed and going nowhere, a breath of air stirs our sails, the water glides swiftly past the boat, and an albatross appears to show us the way. Not knowing what is over the horizon; we can only hope that because we have voyaged there, the world in our wake is a better place.
