11/29/08 - Delaware, OH - Before pulling out of the church this morning, the Father and I took a few pictures. It was a beautiful day, so we took advantage of it.
I left by 8:30 am, so I had plenty of time to travel. The first town we hit was Cardington (picture below). A few miles further down the road, I met up with “Pinky” Sheets. Pinky has a farm with draft mules a mile north of Delaware. He invited me to stop at his place for the night and offered to give me some hay. Next door to Pinky’s place was a feed store where I stocked up on grain and some oil supplement.
The horses and I are settled in for the night. I with a nice home cooked meal, the horses with their grain and hay. Tomorrow, I intend to write a little bit about the mules.
This was a great travel day. Tomorrow the weather is suppose to take a turn for the worse. However, I’m far enough south that it is suppose to be all rain for the daylight hours.
When I travel through Delaware, I am going to buy a new computer, mine has developed some non functional keys and I have to use the On screen keyboard.
Tomorrow, I plan on turning west on U.S Route 36, which I will stay on for quite a while - until somewhere in Mid-Indiana, where I will turn south for West Kentucky - West Tennesse.
