7/27/09, Huntington, IN - It was a long, but pleasant day of driving (27 miles). We’re currently located at Dave’s place, about 2 miles to the east of Huntington. One of the challenges to finding a place to stay at night is the large number of well manicured lawns. The last couple of days, I’ve noticed that the local trend is for very large, freshly mowed lawns, that are completely without weeds. I’m sure that horse manure would be considered bad form, so I don’t even bother asking these folks. And for farm country, there is also very little livestock in the area. Grain farming seems to be the rule of thumb, with soybeans and corn the primary crops.
