10/13/08 - Lima, NY - Another grand Indian Summer day. I started off the morning by tightening some shoes on Doc.  Then I was treated to a wonderful breakfast at the B&B by my hostess Pricilla.

Pricilla and her friend joined me for the first hour of the morning run. There were several good sized hills right at the start of the day and it was a good opportunity to burn off some morning oats.

I passed through several small towns on the trip today; including, East Bloomfield, Bloomfield, West Bloomfield and Lima. The first half of the day was fairly hilly, but none of the grades were steeper then 6 or 7%.

In Lima, I met a very nice lady, Carol, who met me at my camping spot west of town with a large supply of carrots for the horses and a hot roast beef sandwich supper for myself - thanks Carol.

I’m currently camped at John and Kathy’s beautiful place.  The horses have plenty of good graze for the night and Clementine and I are all tucked in with a bellies full of good diner food.

The horses put in about 18 miles today and are in pretty good shape. Tomorrow, we’re going to drive about 15 miles to Dave Ayers Haflinger farm in Caledonia, NY, where we’ll probably rest up a day.

You know, driving a wagon around seeing knew people and places every day is a pretty good gig!
